Minneapolis Police along with State Patrol Conservation Officers and the National Guard arrived to the 5th Precinct with a large amount of tactical gear to clear out and arrest 51 people protesting the pre-trial release of Derek Chauvin on bond. Derek Chauvin has been charged in the May 25th death of George Floyd.
The George Floyd mural on 38th street on the side of Cup Foods vandalized for the second time. The mural has since been repaired. The mural was painted after George Floyds death and is one of the most recognizable images from George Floyd Square.
Nordstrom Rack store in the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis. The store remains boarded after unrest and looting that took place in August 2020. The boards have recently been painted white.
